MSC Kicks Off Its New Seahorse Service
MSC is expanding its intra-Asia network with the addition of a new Seahorse service, starting on week 30.
Providing comprehensive port coverage of eight countries within Asia, the new service will help to facilitate more intra-Asia shipments. Indonesia shippers can rely on the service for cargo to markets such as the Philippines and Taiwan.
In addition, customers can ship directly via this service from Jakarta to the Yantian transshipment port, enabling them to reach the US West Coast faster. The transit time will be reduced by 10 days to 27 days, which is a significant improvement.
"As business continues to grow from Indonesia to China, MSC is committed to facilitate more shipments between the two countries with our new Seahorse service. The direct connection from Jakarta to Yantian will help shippers to lower their logistics costs and save on transit time," said Dhany Novianto, Managing Director of MSC Indonesia.
The Seahorse service is a weekly service, scheduled to commence on 25 July 2020 at Tanjung Pelepas, with the MSC GIANNA (voyage number: HO030A). The service will link seamlessly to MSCís other intra-Asia services and to its global ocean liner network, as well as to its inland and barge services within the Asia region.
