Moller – Maersk Group, with a fleet numbering more than 500 container vessels and more than 1,900,000 containers, has had its own office in Jakarta since 1958. Today, Maersk Indonesia, one of the country’s largest shipping lines, with global coverage, is known as being one of the most reliable companies in the industry with offices worldwide and the most extensive network globally. Over the years, the company has experienced strong growth in its global container transport business, with an average growth rate of about 9% per year from 1980 to the present. With 20 years experience in the A.P. Moller – Maersk Group, Jakob Friis Sorensen, the President Director for Maersk Indonesia shares his knowledge of the industry with the Logistics Plus Team.
